The Beds We Make Selected For PlayGround-LA Monday Night Reading Series October

Daysha’s newest 10-min play, The Beds We Make, which was written as part of PlayGround-LA’s Writer’s Pool for 2020-2021, was selected for the start of season 9 at PlayGround-LA’s Monday Night Reading Series.

From October to March every year, PlayGround-LA holds a monthly reading series where it selects 6 new plays out of its writer’s pool to receive a lightly staged public reading.

The Beds We Make tells the story of a competitive Christian mother and her mouthy, sarcastic daughter who both struggle with how to face the messy beds they have made after a long-kept secret is finally brought to light in a world where Roe v. Wade has been overturned. It is available to read on New Play Exchange.
